1. Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?
I personally feel it has been my ability to perceive things differently. We are not in India or the United States where teenager writings are given some kind of importance at least from their age peers. We are in Mauritius, and it is tremendously hard to jerk the silent mass that we have to come out and read a content unless it is noteworthy. I feel the different approach is what attracts many.
2. How would you describe your blogging style?
Uhm. I'm not sure that I kept a particular blogging style. The point of Our Alter Ego is exactly to present a plethora of different selves of our own self and hence various styles. But recently a friend made me realise that I may very well have a common styling in all of my articles; that was when guest postings started to come up and comparisons could be made. So apparently, depth, complexity and wisdom is my style.
3. What do you think is the best service a blogger can provide to his readers?
Triggering readers to think, hands down. I often get subtle and at other times stark 'complaints' about how my articles can be long or how the font is not appealing while others are comfortable with both. So, I'm not really bothered about the visuals. My aim is to connect with the divine within you.
4. Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?
Myself. This has been quite a solitary journey and I do not have a lot of directly supportive people in my life. I have my writing idols, but blogging is much of my own inner thing.
5. What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?
That moment repeats itself now and then. It consists of trying to escape the cursing and yelling for investing so much time in the blog. And it usually tolls down to a lot of internal depression too.
6. Can you name some of your favourite bloggers and explain why they are your favourites?
+Chitra Nair who blogs at A Bundle of Contradictions. She is an Indian Blogger and an age peer. I absolutely love her rebellious stance which is quite similar to mine.
I am not connected to any other blogger, which is sad.
7. How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
Self-love, want to be productive and creative.
8. What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?
Engaging people. People can be really slack-active. It's a common feature of all Internet Users. I wish they would comment more in the open, good or bad. It's truly frustrating. I do receive tonnes of private messages that are really warm and fuzzy. But I mourn at the fact that I'm not being able to make them engage in a conversation. It's saddening.
9. In the future where do, you hope your blog will take you?
To myself. (:
10. Did you have any professional help or did you created the blog yourself?
My friend, who you must know as NIk, web-designed whatever you can currently see and I learnt some super elementary coding to add on some petty stuff. He thought my earlier blog appearance was appalling.
Until next time,
