Painting fest at school.

Well, if you thought that Painting Competitions for the whole school occurs only in movies like Taare Zameeen Paar, well, come out of your illusion, because at the Queen Elizabeth College, fantasies become real! Every single student present, teachers and lab attendants came to the Recreational Corner for some artsy creations. Multiethnic performances grabbed the spotlight. Face painting started to compensate for the Holi days. Colours were purposefully rubbed everywhere. React below!!! Especially those Cato Verts visiting. Message for more photos. I'd gladly private message you them. Share the link and comment in the section below to tell us how your day has been. Don't forget to like, comment and tell us what you think about this.

Why Facebook and I Are No Longer in a Relationship.

Dear Facebookers, Three years ago, I had made the decision to give up Facebook. August 2013- I could still have reported that I'm alive and that the past two years of hiatus from Facebook have been life changing - the two most vibrant years of my existence even! Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and YouTube were all on my blacklist, well - sort of. My goal for giving up social media was to create more value in my life, quit hoarding information, and appreciate the time that I spent with friends.  But then, around exactly this time last year, I had gotten back on Facebook. Sure, it was an impromptu decision- mostly because I suddenly felt this urge to break off from the normal hectic routine of life which consisted mainly of school and not talking to people. But what blows my rational mind today- how come I'm still not off this social media when I did swear not to reside there for more than 3 months. Honestly, this is not what I used to be. The reflection on the screen right ...

"Stop! Don’t Break That Gate!" (Hymen)

"Have you ever wondered why God carefully positioned a membrane of blood in a lady’s intimate opening? It is a thin thiny membrane that partially or completely covers the opening of the womanliness. It is called the “HYMEN”. Why would God-Our Maker put a breakable tissue full of blood at the very door of the intimate opening of the female? Why is it so carefully placed at that entrance, like a ribbon tied at the entrance of a new house about to be launched? Why is it filled with blood that spills away when it is broken? Why? Without doubt, the HYMEN IS A GATE! It was God(our creator) who set that blood-filled vessel there as a covenant blockage, a sign and a token of a covenant between the bearer and whoever plunges into her opening. Before God, the disvirginity of a lady is not a casual act of fun. It is a serious covenant struck and confirmed by the blood shed on that day. This is God’s way of saying, “Whoever plunges in to this woman shall only be able to do so by makin...

What are we Interested in? Ourselves or Others?

In the school bus again. I just found out that some people, you people, read this blog for a particular purpose ....that of gathering, bits and bytes of the authors' lives, to such an extent that some of my friends commented that these are things that attract people more to a blog.  And now that I'm pondering over it, would unveiling personal data be synonymous to sky-rocketing the page views. What are you really seeking for? Sensationalism, gossips, intrusion into one's personal life?  But that's the purpose of mass media, right? So again it brings me to this perpetual conclusion that I have time and again emphasized on - the media sells what YOU want and you can't really blame them, there's a demand and they're going to supply it. Now the big question is: Is Our Alter Ego ready to be that kind of media? YOUR kind of media? That platform, that seems to satisfy, to quench your lust for sensationalism, gossips and intrusion?  Now let's pa...

Motherly or Fatherly

Remarks have been made on my attitude, at times - "too motherly". Can it be explained? [Pls, feel free to leave a comment if you can!] Let's give it time, though, and see if it changes. I believe each one of us wants to feel the stiff, confident touch of a loved one. We need it, we need somebody to tell us it will be okay. We want somebody to trick us into believing there'll be dawn, no matter how impossible it sounds. For most of us, that one person is the mother or father, for others siblings and even friends. And this is where the protective "motherly" or "fatherly" instincts comes in use! You do something stupid, your mum shouts at you. Similarly, I can happen to hold on to you massively, so if you do something stupid, you are getting shouted at! Even I'd like to get shouted at a few times for petty mistakes.  I do give warnings threateningly, I reckon. But that's for your own good! I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself,...

Fifty shades of Grey... Through the lenses of a fan.

-Shammah, 17. Why did you pick up that book? Everybody was talking about that at school and I never knew what its content was about.I thought it was romantic. But it was romantic and....erotic. Who do you like better, Christian or Anastasia? I love both, but Christian a little more, since I'm hetero. He's sexy, manly and likes to take initiatives. He's romantic although he controls himself and says the contrary but he's way more romantic than the average romantic man. ''You are my more, my love, my life..'' How romantic could that possibly be? Has FSoG been your first erotic book? Yes, ever. E.L James should write another book and I think I'll devour it with the same ardent passion. But the words tend to be repetitive with ''inner goddess' .. J.K. Rowling is far better. (no offence meant, just my opinion. ) Was fifty shades of Grey an eye opener for you about sex? No. It's more about a story-on...
